Your medication history is unique.
Your genetics are too.

Pharmacogenomic testing can provide information about genetic factors that may affect how your body processes certain medications.

But the test report is only the beginning. MyTraitRx combines PGx testing with pharmacist-led medication review and interpretation to help you understand which findings may be relevant to your current medications and what questions you may want to discuss with your prescriber.

A genetic test can give you information.

It doesn't necessarily tell you what information matters.
A PGx report may contain results for numerous genes and medications.

The important questions are:

Does this result relate to a medication I'm taking?

How strong is the evidence?

Does it potentially affect medication selection or dosing?

Is there anything I should discuss with my prescriber?

Is this finding clinically meaningful—or simply interesting?

That's where pharmacist-led interpretation matters.

Why work with a pharmacist?

A genetic report can tell you what your genes are.

A pharmacist can help you understand why that information may or may not matter for your medications.

MyTraitRx takes an evidence-focused approach.

We don't treat every genetic variant as clinically significant.

We focus on findings that may be relevant to your individual medication profile and discuss appropriate questions or considerations for your healthcare provider.

This may be worth considering if...

You've experienced unexpected medication side effects.

You've tried multiple medications for the same condition.

You've had medications that didn't seem to work as expected.

You take several medications.

You're interested in understanding whether genetics may affect medication response.

Your healthcare provider has recommended or discussed PGx testing.

You already have PGx results but don't know what they mean.

What MyTraitRx does not do

MyTraitRx does not independently diagnose conditions or replace your prescribing clinician.

Medication changes are not made solely on the basis of genetic testing.

PGx results are interpreted in context and discussed within the applicable scope of practice.

Where appropriate, findings can provide questions and considerations to discuss with your healthcare provider.

Why not just buy a $350 PGx test?

You can.

The test gives you genetic information. What it doesn’t necessarily give you is someone who can help you understand what that information means for your medications.

This is a question I would actually answer directly. Because the test isn't the entire service. A commercial test gives you genetic information.

MyTraitRx adds:

Medication review

Pharmacist interpretation

Clinical context

Discussion of relevant findings

Personalized summary

Follow-up
